Our Mission
We are building an AI platform that actually helps with your everyday life. Ethyx connects OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, DeepSeek, Kimi, Gemini, and Perplexity to the tools you already use—Google Drive and Calendar—and turns conversations into progress with checklists you can check off and recaps that show where you left off. We are honest about your data (encrypted at rest, plain-language caveats about what providers see) and we shape replies to how your brain works, not the other way around.
Meet the founder
David Crush
Founder
David is a software engineer with over 10 years of experience building highly available, highly scalable distributed systems. He started at Roanoke College, leading a migration from ColdFusion to PHP. At ESPN he worked on espn.com, the ESPN app, ESPNFC.com, and Fantasy Football, and led modernizations of Olympics, NFL Draft, and MLB Gamecast. At Disney Parks & Resorts he built IoT and AWS cloud-native applications—distributed systems the parks rely on to stay up.
David is neurodivergent. He is determined to prove that Autism and ADHD do not have to be limitations. He started Ethyx as a passion project because he sees a gap in the AI market. There are real uses for AI as a tool for good, and it is our responsibility to keep it that way. Ethyx exists so people have an honest provider: freedom to choose models, honesty about your data, and respect for privacy—and a workspace shaped for how your brain actually works.
Ethyx is rooted in everyday family life—meals, school, and the small ways AI can help at home, not only in engineering. That is the life it is built for.
When he is not building Ethyx, you will find him watching pro wrestling, playing video games, writing, or planning the next theme-park trip.
Why I built this
I built Ethyx because I was tired of living in four AI tabs and losing context every time I switched models. I wanted one workspace that keeps my history, projects, and tools—and that shapes replies for how my brain actually works—without locking me into a single vendor.

Security
Chat messages are encrypted at rest in our database. Encryption keys are stored separately from database storage, with access limited to what running the service requires. Connections to Ethyx use HTTPS. Authenticator and email MFA, recovery codes, and trusted devices help ensure only you access your account. To answer your prompts, upstream AI providers receive the text you send over HTTPS. Ethyx encrypts chat history at rest and replaces your name, email, and attachment filenames with reversible pseudonyms before provider requests when obfuscation is enabled—that protects stored data and limits identity leakage, not live inference at the provider.
